Practical Document Verification Training Workshop
January 30, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm£250
This workshop is a detailed look at identity fraud, how it arises and the methods employed by fraudsters. We will examine examples of documents – both fake and genuine – and the tools that can help you with verification.
The workshops are deliberately kept small to enable interaction and give people the opportunity to ask questions and share experiences. This helps put the learning points into practice and therefore embed the knowledge.
The learning points for this session will include:
- What is document fraud?
- The difference between forged & counterfeit documents
- The requirements of document verification
- Document security features
- How to spot document irregularities
- The best way to use reference material
- Benefits of basic and advanced detection equipment
- Practice with ‘real’ documents
The Westwood Organisation is owned and run by Ian Westwood, a former Chief Immigration Officer with the UK Immigration Service. Ian has a wealth of experience gained through ten years of front line immigration work, in addition to ten years of private consultancy experience. As a former member of the Home Office staff, Ian has lots of interesting anecdotes that make his training unique (and surprisingly interesting!). Ian has extensive knowledge on forged and counterfeit documents.
The cost is £250 plus VAT for each delegate. This includes comprehensive reference material as well as lunch.
