Lenders, PII companies and legal regulators like firms to be members of the BLG. They appreciate that those firms will be kept fully up to date with all important issues that affect conveyancers. The regular BLG bulletins (and the online forum) are an invaluable source of information and knowledge.

Coal face conveyancers rarely have the time to keep track of all of the issues that are likely to affect them and the way they carry out their work. The BLG, in effect, acts as their ‘eyes and ears’ on a 24/7 basis.

Joint Estate Agent/Conveyancer Online Forum

The main purpose of this new joint forum is (like the existing legal forum) to allow users to ask questions, post comments, make suggestions, give explanations and reasons (for processes and of problems), and air grievances in an informal but constructive and polite arena.

The forum will give both agents and conveyancers the opportunity to understand the issues and pressures they both face. Ultimately, it will pave the way for a more respectful and fruitful way of working, which may even help transactions progress more smoothly, ensuring that the client gets a more ‘joined up’ service.
